Tottenham Transfer News: Spurs Reportedly Set to Sell Vincent Janssen

IAN KINGTON/Getty Images Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly given up on striker Vincent Janssen and will sell him just one year after signing him from AZ Alkmaar. That's according to John Cross of the Daily Mirror, who reports Spurs have yet to pay the Dutch side the full £20 million fee owed but will sell the 22-year-old nonetheless. Per Cross, it seems Tottenham won't give the Dutchman more time to make good on his promise and large transfer fee. Janssen was part of a mixed batch of summer arrivals for Spurs, as Moussa Sissoko has also failed to make much of an impact.

England v Lithuania

Joe Hart is expected to captain England in Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Lithuania but says "it's just an armband" to manager Gareth Southgate. England skipper Wayne Rooney was left out of the squad, while Gary Cahill, who led the side in Wednesday's defeat by Germany, is suspended. The Manchester City keeper captained England in a 2-0 loss to Spain in 2015. England are top of World Cup qualifying group F with 10 points from four games.
