Arsenal legend and current T&T assistant Sol Campbell discusses Arsene Wenger's current situation and future at the Emirates. The Trinidad and Tobago assistant coach said in an interview with ESPN FC that with Wenger's contract about to expire and a new one purportedly on the table, the Frenchman should look at players that are "maybe a little bit rougher around the edges, but that know how to play football and who will dig in every single game." Arsenal currently sit in sixth position in the Premier League and have lost four of their last five league matches, crashing out of the Champions League in the same period, all of which has helped spark a backlash from fans. 3Asked what Arsenal must do to get back on track, Campbell said: "[Arsenal need] more [Alexis] Sanchez-type of mentality players, from defenders to upfront. I think that for me they need more players like that on the pitch. ... Sanchez would easily play in our [Invincibles] side." 4Alexis Sanchez could have easily played in Arsenal's 'Invincibles' side, says former defender Sol Campbell. Former centre-back Campbell said 28-year-old Sanchez -- who is yet to sign a new contract -- "has everything," adding, "If you want to win things, you've got to have more guys like that." Campbell is in the early stages of his coaching career. He is currently assisting head coach Dennis Lawrence in preparation for Trinidad and Tobago's World Cup qualifying clash on Tuesday against Mexico, and he clearly holds Wenger up as a role model. "You have to respect his ... he's qualified for the Champions League for the last 20-odd years and that is phenomenal," said the 42-year-old Campbell. "Not many sides have done that. And he's brought a lot to the side playing-wise, philosophy [and the] stadium." "He's steered the club through all the financial woes with the crash around the world and now they are on the other side and they are a very strong side," continued the former England international. "Now it's just about matching the quality of stadium and training ground ... with medals, or at least sustained pressure with whoever is at the top and fighting to the end."
